Our tampons are certified by Australian Certified Organic (ACO), the country’s most trusted organic certification body.
While ‘organic’ can appear on packaging without strict regulation, ACO certification ensures products have undergone thorough checks, including independent audits, testing, and strict manufacturing checks. ACO’s whole-product approach also means every part of the tampon is fully traceable, responsibly made, and free from synthetic materials.
Without this certification, there’s no way to verify how ingredients are farmed or what’s included in the final product.

All TOM tampons, pads and liners are made with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified cotton, the world’s leading certification for organic fibres.
GOTS goes far beyond the cotton itself. It looks at every stage of the cotton's lifecycle: from the soil it's grown in, to the working conditions of farmers and factory workers, and the overall environmental impact. This ensures that all cotton used in TOM products maintains complete organic integrity from start to finish.

All TOM Organic Tampons are compliant with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), meaning they meet Australia’s highest standards for safety, quality and performance.
As part of the Australian Government Department of Health, the TGA ensures that all medical and health-related products — including tampons — are safe to use as directed*, clearly labelled, and made from only approved materials.
During the product development process our TOM Organic tampons undergo rigorous scientific and clinical testing. This includes an evaluation of its materials, design, absorbency, and hygiene standards. With this, you can feel confident knowing our tampons are carefully tested and approved for safe use in Australia.

Our pads, liners, and tampons undergo dermatological Human Repeat Insult Patch Testing (HRIPT) using volunteers with sensitive skin to assess irritation, comfort, and skin compatibility. This rigorous process ensures every product meets our high standards.
