15 MINUTES TO BETTER SELF-CARE

It comes up a lot these days, doesn’t it? ‘Self-care’. So how do you really do it, and who even has the time for it?

It’s important to remember that it’s not about having time but making time. Self-care does not need to be complicated or time-consuming – so try these 8 ideas which will take 15 minutes or less. Enjoy!

1. READ

Any type of reading will do. Magazines, novels, blogs, children’s stories – it’s all the same and can often inject wonderful new words into your vocabulary and your brain loves it! As long as it’s not causing you stress it counts as self-care.

2. GO OUTSIDE

Nothing like a breath of fresh air! A short stroll will pump oxygen through your body and release happy endorphins. On top of that, being outside will clear your head and allow you to embrace beautiful nature. Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses!

3. CALL A FRIEND

Texting, emailing and social media are taking over as the preferred method of communication. But life takes place between wifi signals so take the time to call someone who makes you feel good and who will brighten your day. They’ll love hearing the sound of your voice and you’ll love hearing theirs.

4. EAT WELL

Lettuce celebrate health and good food! With a well-balanced diet you’ll optimise your energy and strength, boost your concentration and toughen up your immune system. Feed your soul.
