We’ve raided the cupboards at The Common Good Store in Hawthorn and picked our ten must have ethical, local and sustainable products.

Owners Meneka and John are the two passionate forces, and husband and wife duo behind this gem.

Meneka and John make it their business to know the growers and exactly where all of their locally sourced and organic produce comes from. They have shared their top ten essentials we need in our pantry.

1 // HUNTED + GATHERED CHOCOLATE

delicious organic and fair trade chocolate made by brothers Charlie and Harry in Richmond.

2 // KOOKAS COOKIES

homemade and wholesome organic cookies developed and made by Jo Clark a mum and naturopath in Yarraville.

3 // LOVE TEA

fair trade, hand blended, environmentally responsible tea range by naturopath Emma and her husband Damien in Geelong.

4 & 5 // CINNAMON & TURMERIC

these anti-inflammatory super spices are sourced direct from small organic spice mill in Sri Lanka.

6 // CECIL KING COCONUT WATER

This refreshing coconut water is indigenous to Sri Lanka and is used only for drinking.

7 // LA TORTILLERIA CORN TORTILLAS

truly authentic Mexican corn tortillas made completely from scratch straight of out our their restaurant in Kensington.

8// MOCK RED HILL ACV

made locally in Red Hill Victoria, this zesty apple cider vinegar is perfect for a simple vegetable dressing.

9 // EAST BALI CASHEWS

traditionally roasted with salt in their natural skin, these delicious cashews are sourced directly from farmers in East Bali.
